I found some friends immediately at the EDU hostel in Yogya.  We walked around and (they) ate.  We also signed up to go together to Borobudur tommorrow at sunrise.  I am trying to figure out how to get the sunrise hike of Mt Bromo in, but I will either have to take a tour that will have me arriving really late for my surf retreat or try to do it myself and risk some major transportation struggles...  

So I cant sleep and I am looking up travel options on the internet and I think I am going to go for the risky tip to Bromo instead of the tour.  As soon as I get back from Borobudur, I am going to head for Bromo.  It is going to be incredibly hectic!  Unlike the friends I met, I dont really have any desire to stay in Yogya or do any shopping here.  So I dont need tomorrow to hang out.  I will be sorry to leave them as they very sweet and fun to go out with and one of them looks like the main actress from Orange is the New Black.

I really dont want to get to my retreat to late, and I think this will save a lot of money and tourist traps (like all the places that the buses stop tourists along the way).  Then I can hike at my own pace etc... I think it will will be good.  Where is Heidi when I need her to back up my decisions!!!
